Located in the hamlet of Ladywood, between Droitwich and Worcester, our canalside setting provides a picturesque and peaceful retreat.
Gloverspiece Minifarm started 5 years ago as a private collection of ponies and farm animals. The collection grew as we started to rescue animals and now there is a wide variety - ducks, geese, chickens, goats, sheep, alpacas, pigs, ponies, donkeys and rabbits. All of the animals are extremely friendly and full of character! As the site is only 11 acres, all areas are easily accessible and within sight. This is also means that we have a limited amount of space and so have to rehome some animals. Our main priority has been animal welfare and happiness and we now want to extend this to people either by education or via our Care Farm. There is no fixed package - we are happy to discuss your requirements and tailor a visit to suit your needs. We are not a farm attraction with gimmicks and play areas - the animals are the attraction!
As a registered charity, our aims are 1. To relieve the needs of the elderly, people with mental health issues, people with learning and behavioural difficulties and young offenders by enabling them to access a therapeutic benefit from engaging with animals. 2. The advancement of education for the public benefit, in particular of children, by teaching them about animal welfare. 3. To promote humane behaviour towards animals by providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for animals which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage and to educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals.
We carry full public liability insurance.
